Meet our Fellows : Alvaro Zuniga Cordero (ClimPolElec)

End of the series… but just the beginning of the story!

Time flies… and we’ve already reached the 15th and final episode of our “Portraits of Postdocs” series.

To close the loop, let’s dive into the world of politics, climate, and democracy with Álvaro Zúñiga Cordero, a researcher hosted at UNamur. His project tackles two major questions:
➡️ How do unexpected climate shocks influence election results?
➡️ What impact do environmental policies have on voter attitudes?
🗳️ A fascinating topic at the intersection of economics, policy-making… and sustainability 🌱

🇨🇷 His case study? Costa Rica — a vibrant democracy, deeply committed to green policies, and increasingly affected by environmental challenges.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska Curie grant agreement No 101034383
