Breaking Boundaries in Science

On March 13, 2025, the Université de Namur and UMONS hosted the Mid-Term Event for the second cohort of the Connect with | Come 2 Wallonia (C2W) project.

Researchers from around the world gathered to showcase their work in a vibrant and collaborative setting, highlighting the power of international scientific exchange.

The event featured a diverse array of cutting-edge projects—from electromagnetic field modeling and machine translation to purple bacteria studies, atrial fibrillation prevention, and climate shock analysis.

Each presentation shed light on innovative approaches to tackling complex challenges, such as optimizing power grids, improving educational practices, and understanding socio-environmental dynamics.

Beyond the research itself, the event fostered valuable connections among scientists, paving the way for future collaborations.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska Curie grant agreement No 101034383
